Casablanca
benefits from a mild climate throughout the year. The wet season extends from November
to March; however, most days throughout the winter months remain
dry.
Winters
in Casablanca
can at times be cold but summers are generally very pleasing. However, with
benefits of its proximity to the Atlantic and Mediterranean Seas
the climate of this region is very moderate all year round.
Summer
in Casablanca
is hospitable and mild and this when the town sees its most visitors. Winter is
commonly be cool and rainy but accommodation and flights are at their cheapest
so this is also a common season for tourists.
The
months from October to April will be the most favourable time to visit as this
is when the region undergoes its best weather. With days being pleasantly warm
and the nights lusciously cool. Temperatures throughout the day will typically
stay around 30°C and will drop to approximately 15°C at night.
Casablanca
is relatively hot but because of its location on the coast when compared with
neighbouring regions inland, that are largely desert, its climate can be viewed
as relatively temperate. The rainy season lasts from November to April although
even throughout this period of time the amount of rainfall is still very minimal.
The
summer months between July and September are generally the hottest of the year,
during which time daily high temperatures will commonly climb to above
33°C. The climate however is very dried out, therefore relatively
humidity is almost non-existent. The evenings and nights during these summer
months will cool down enough for comfortable sleeping temperatures.
The
coolest time of the year is during the winter months of December through
February, throughout which time the daily high temperatures will reach roughly 16°C. During these
months, the evening and night temperatures will drop down to approximately 12°C
or 13°C. The winter months are also months seeing highest humidity.
But even during this time, it will only rain one out of five days on
average. The driest months of the year are June, July and August, during
which time it will rarely, if ever rain.
The
climate, geography, and history of Casablanca
are closer to the Mediterranean than to Africa.
The town is a suitable departure point for much of north or western Morocco, but is absolutely recommended as an ideal
holiday destination all year round.
